As of today I've transferred all 21 and here are some examples:

Plus I have the first eight near completion as below and including No. 03 at the top of this post :

There remains the question of cropping either too much or not enough depending on the image.

And, of course, there's the stitching as I continue with the second piece based on my roofing photos:

As well as with the addition of a simplified piece based on photos I took of video game systems that I started specifically for ease of transport for my trip to Philadelphia on November 10.

21 KONSTRUKTIONS: Paintings - Two More Layers

September was spent building the layers onto the final suite of paintings.  After the tinting was completed the textures were blocked out with terracotta:

and then enhanced with raw umber:

Next were the controversial 'drips' that have yet to prove themselves to doubting critics (including me) spurring me on to prove I know what I'm doing:

Then, by early October, I had nearly all of the images transferred:

And, of course, the stitching continues:

as compulsions always do when self-control is not your strong suit.

21 KONSTRUKTIONS: Paintings - Preparing Grounds

The last months of 2015 will be spent focusing on the final large paintings as I work toward completing this suite by the end of the year.  The minimum dimension was to  be 24" but on some I've gone smaller because an exaggerated rectangle is a beautiful format.

Cross Stitch Part II

Another word for compulsion is comfort.  The cross stitch has returned as I recreate images from my roofing photos.  This image is the side of a tar kettle that's been scraped repeatedly and then left to rust in the yard of the  commercial roofing company I've worked at for the past 10 years.

Terracotta and Abstract Studies

These will be the final studies as I work toward creating fully developed series for the 2015 painting project.  I continue to refer to my proposal to attempt to stay on task but I'm also prepared to follow where I am led as is always the case.

21KONSTRUKTIONS:
Call and Response

Linoleum Plate Impression with a Gestural Response (both in plaster on paper)

NOTE:  At the midpoint of my project I felt the need to simplify and to scale down the works in order to address some challenges.  So I decided to limit my palette as well as the range of values in hopes of finding some solutions.  In progress.
